Surprise... the best Halloween Horror Nights event is getting better.
The team over at Universal Studios Singapore have released some new details concerning this year's Halloween Horror Nights event. Giving us a preview of what terrifying experiences guests will be able to endure and a glimpse at their new icon, Lady Death. Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Singapore has recently garnered a lot of praise and attention from state-side HHN fans for its incredible scale and attention to detail. To say that Jason Ramsburg and his team have not held back on the creative front is an understatement and this year looks to be no different. While details are scarce we'll try to outline what information we currently know.
New Original Icon: Lady Death

In Singapore fashion, they have created an entirely new icon to headline their event instead of opting to reuse a previous character. Details on Lady Death still remain a mystery but we couldn't help but notice some strikingly similair characteristics with Bloody Mary, mainly having her domain be through a mirror. What sets them apart is Lady Death's design choice, sporting a more Santa Muerte (Mexican's personification of death) type look. It will be interesting to know what she's all about but for now she seems to be an original, more spanish motif, take on the Bloody Mary mythos. Sign us up!
More Mazes than Ever
Universal Studios Singapore is the smallest Universal Studios Park in the globe (yes even smaller than USH) therefore their maze roster the past 5 years has peaked at 4. Luckily, thanks to the new Map on the website, it seems like the attraction roster has moved up to 5!

New Maze: Old Changi Hospital
The first of many reveals yet to come, the have given us our first look into one of the Haunted houses at this year's event. Knowing how Singapore handles paranormal houses... this will probably be amazing and terrifying. From the website:

Old Changi Hospital. Patients who don’t know they are dead. Soldiers who still scour the wards for enemies. Empty morgues that are not really empty. All these and more await at the iconic Old Changi Hospital…
New Maze: HAWKER CENTRE MASSACRE
Mayhem breaks loose at the Hawker Centre Massacre where a meal turns into a banquet of horror as victims of radioactive food poisoning transform into a savage, flesh-eating creatures.
New Maze: Hu Li's Inn
Set in colourful Old Shanghai, Hu Li’s Inn is where demonic shape shifters claim souls by deadly seduction.
New Maze: Salem Witch House
Tremble at the centuries-old wrath of the vengeful DeFeo Witches, awakened by modern-day witchcraft enthusiasts practising rituals in the Salem Witch House.
New Maze: Bodies of Work
Artist Damien Shipman takes fans on a heinous trip down memory lane as he unveils his controversial exhibition titled Bodies of Work. Displayed in a macabre fashion, his twisted memories are played out in this horrific homage to his family who perished tragically in a fire.
New Scarezone: March of the Dead
join the first-ever carnival procession in a zone lined with deadly descendants, exhumed coffins and larger-than-life skeletons, all led by the ominous Lady Death. The procession culminates in an action-packed live show that celebrates the deceased in the haunting March of the Dead.
New Scarezone: Suicide Forest
Enter the forbidden grounds of Suicide Forest, one of the scare zones filled with desperate cries and a sinister presence that lures unsuspecting victims to their deaths.
Chill-out Zones
These locations will provide scare-free entertainment for those looking to tone down the intensity. Featuring live music, Food and Drinks. Marked by a red calavera on the map, it seems these zones will be Day of the Dead themed. Sounds awesome and will no doubt be highly themed. This is the event that had a tank firing on a UFO, after all.

Jack is back?
Curiously enough, the map indicates two shows at the event, one represented by a white calavera while the other is represented by... Jack the Clown!
Looks like our favorite Clown has moved to Singapore while Chance handles things back in Orlando. Jack was prominently featured in Singapore back in 2014 with both Jack's Nightmare Circus (show) and Jack's 3Dementia (Maze) respectively.
UPDATE: The new show will be called Jack's Recurring Nightmare Circus. From the website:
Back by popular demand, Jack the Clown will steal the show once again in Jack’s Recurring Nightmare Circus at Pantages Hollywood Theater. Together with his deranged disciples, he will hunt for killer acts from a live casting call featuring world-class aerialists, acrobats, contortionists and other freaky friends.
